BBQ Sauce

With barbecue season in full swing, I thought I’d share this easy peasy recipe for homemade BBQ sauce.  I’ve made homemade BBQ sauce just once before, and it didn’t come close to rivaling my favorite, Sweet Baby Ray’s.  This one does—there is a nice balance of sweet, spicy, and smoky going on.

I made up a batch on Father’s Day, and we enjoyed it on some boneless chicken thighs that I had brined (recipe coming soon).  They were finger lickin’ good!  Of course, you can use the BBQ sauce on anything you ordinarily like to grill with BBQ sauce.

There is no cooking involved—all you do is throw a few ingredients that you probably already have on your pantry shelves and whisk them together.  It’s as simple as that!
